Welcome to the ZEGG Community!

Summer Guest Season Starts

GartenOn May 13 we started our programme for "summer guests". The season started well and we have already hosted many willing helpers from Germany and abroad. Every summer we offer the chance to stay for a while in ZEGG and contribute by working in the kitchen, garden or guest house.

Work with our site team or on our building sites is also possible for those with appropriate interests. The summer weeks see us harvesting fruit and vegetables together for the communal kitchen and conserving them or freezing them for the winter. We also turn seasonal produce into delicious jams, fruit spreads, pesto and chutneys.
We meet in the morning for an attunement and work assignment. Summer guests work about five hours per day from Monday to Saturday. After work there is a group meeting providing a chance to get to know each other and ZEGG. And summer guests can also take part in other open events on-site.
Summer guests are asked to arrive on Sundays (we can be flexible for those travelling from afar).  For those visiting ZEGG for the first time, we ask you to arrive in time to take part in the regular guided tour of our site at 4pm (meeting point at the 'village pub' - Dorfkneipe). You are asked to stay for at least one full week.

Check-in: Sunday, from 5:30pm in the guest house (Gästehaus)

Evening meal at 6:30om; First group meeting at 7:30pm

Price: €56 board & lodging per week

Sensitive Time in ZEGG

An atmosphere of change in the community: Last weekend 50 people attended a special community weekend with invited facilitators Clinton and Marion Callahan helping us to create a “Space of Opportunity”.

Using their “Possibility Management” methods we practiced radical honesty, gave each other feedback, and practiced saying Yes and No. Here we also made use of sword-fighting exercises from Japanese martial arts. In the space of clarity which we created, we turned to current issues in the whole community: What is our intent?  What does ZEGG give to the world?

News of Whitsun Festival

When does a dream become effective? What are your dreams? And how are you effective? These questions and more  were the focus of a whole weekend here with many people from our community – part of the creation process for our Whitsun Festival this year.
