Since ZEGG was founded we have invested over three million euros to purchase and develop the site. Bank loans financed part of this and over 250 residents and friends of the project contributed by investing in stakes in the company or providing loans. Initial difficulties were soon overcome and since 1997 we have balanced the books every year. We want to expand and develop our site whilst retaining its experimental nature and without commercialising it in the usual sense of that word. So we are still dependent on financial support from everyone interested in ZEGG's continued existence. In particular, we are looking for new investors and sponsors to help finance further renovation of the site's existing buildings in an ecological, energy-efficient and experimental manner.
