Eros, Art and Green Beans
Experiencing Oneself in Community
Our annual summer camp is always a powerful community event. For ZEGG as hosts and all the guests as well, including many who come from abroad.
As the ZEGG community, we invite you to join us in a community experiment for the duration of the camp: love, partnership, sexuality, community building, spirituality, ecological responsibility, political involvement – these are all topics that will guide and support us.
We want to foster exchange and connection – between men and women, among women and among men. You are cordially invited to join us on a voyage of discovery, exploring a way of living that integrates these topics and visions.

Together
Ten days of living communally: understanding each other and connecting on issues of life and love; dancing; playing music; washing up; playing games; painting; meditating; enjoying nature; learning from one another; harvesting; relaxing; stargazing...
We will be celebrating life – and there will be plenty of time!
Attractions
The Eros Days:
"THE SENSUALITY OF BEING - A journey of discovery in three acts"
--- deceleration, contact, inspiration ---
Encounters with Eros – in nature, in ourselves, in our own and the other gender. Some of the elements that we will use for this are: movement art, talks, rituals, a sensual and unusual dance evening, workshops and Forum.
Your journey guides are the experienced course leaders from our Love Academy: Susanne Kohts, Katja Resagk, Roger Balmer, Andreas Duda
The Art Days:
"IN THE FIRE OF CREATIVITY"
--- deceleration, contact, inspiration ---
Art is a product of human culture - the result of human creativity based on knowledge, practice, perception, imagination and intuition, according to Wikipedia. Britannia Online offers a community-related definition: "the use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences that can be shared with others."
What do YOU think of when you hear the word "art"? Does art result from an ability or talent? Is art a luxury? A passion? Is it necessary? What does art have to do with everyday life?
The Art Days are an invitation to you to form a closer relationship with art, expressing yourself artistically in play, Forum, performances and much more. Trying out new things and experiencing new aspects of yourself – together we will be looking for expression and form.

Intentions
We want to...
...come closer to the "sensuality of being" during the Eros Days,
...carry through these impulses and experiences into the following days with workshops, lectures and actions,
...and lend them expression and form in the "fire of creativity" during the Art Days at the end of the camp. HOW we do this is up to you - writing, music, sculpture or more.
This year's Summer Camp is being organised in a different way to previous years:
The lectures and workshops in the Big Top will take place in the afternoons at 3.30pm. (We are hoping that this will also make them more attractive for participants in the Youth Camp, who often don't like getting up in time for an event at 10am.)
The Forum groups will meet in the morning at 10am.
The gatherings at the Men's and Women's Places will last longer (because having enough time to really feel at home with one's own gender helps to create an overall sense of belonging),
The mealtimes are longer (to leave more time for exchange and so that parents have more relaxed time with their children).
For similar reasons, the schedule also leaves some evenings free, without an official event. We are planning three disco/dance evenings, live music and other cultural attractions.
We are hoping the Summer Camp will be peaceful, with time to breathe and a focus on contact, inspiration and community life.
Children's Camp and Youth Group
The Summer Camp includes a Children's Camp for children aged four and older, and a Youth Group for those aged around 13/14 and older. If you are unsure which would be most appropriate for your child, please send us an e-mail. We will talk about it together with you.
For many parents, the children's and youth camps offer much more than just childcare or just relief because their teenagers have fun together with others in supervised events. These camps offer inspiration about parenting, mutual support, and a chance to learn from others and from community-minded educators and youth workers.
